02 — How to Confirm

How to Confirm Whether You're in a Duty-Free Zone

At checkout, look for a shipping option marked as tax-inclusive to enjoy duty-free delivery. Please note that commercial couriers cannot always guarantee exemption.

  1. Reach Checkout

Add your items to the cart and proceed to checkout with your shipping address.

  2. Select inc. VAT Shipping

If a shipping option included (inc. VAT) is shown, select it to enjoy duty-free delivery where available.

  3. Review Couriers

DHL, FedEx or other commercial couriers do not guarantee exemption from customs duties anywhere, at any time.

Please note — DHL, FedEx and other commercial couriers do not guarantee exemption from customs duties in any location or at any time. Duty-free eligibility depends on the selected shipping method shown at checkout.

03 — EU VAT Main Change

The New Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS)

The EU has removed the €22 import VAT exemption and introduced the Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS). Here's what changed for goods imported into the EU.

Before July 1, 2021
€22 Exemption

Low-value consignments valued under €22 imported into the EU were exempt from import VAT.

From July 1, 2021
VAT on All Goods

VAT is charged on all commercial goods imported into the EU, regardless of value. For consignments valued €150 or below, VAT is either charged at sale via IOSS or collected from the end-customer by the customs declarant (carrier).

What does it mean?

From July 1, 2021, Value-Added Tax (VAT) is charged on all commercial goods imported into the EU, regardless of value. For consignments with a value of €150 or below, this can either be charged at the time of sale by using the new Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS), or be collected from the end-customer by the customs declarant (carrier companies).

04 — How This Affects Our Business

What This Means for Your Orders

Due to the fact that we are based in a region outside the EU, we will no longer be able to export shipments valued under €22 to EU consumers free of VAT.

This means EU customers may see VAT applied on import for low-value orders that were previously exempt. Where possible, we use the IOSS mechanism to charge VAT at the time of sale so your order isn't delayed at customs — please select a tax-inclusive (inc. VAT) shipping option at checkout when available.
